Juried Art Exhibition


Call opens March 8, 2024        Call closes April 20, 2024

This is an open-entry, juried exhibition spotlighting North-East Ohio’s best and brightest artistic endeavors. Annually, approximately 450 works are submitted, and then final juried down to approximately 80 works to be exhibited at The Gallery at Lakeland. 

The Jury process is two-rounds:

     Round 1 is juried digitally via this platform.

     Works accepted in the Round 1 Jury will need to be delivered to The Gallery at Lakeland CC for the in-person Round 2 Jury on May 3 and 4, 2024 11 am – 8 pm.

     Works not accepted during the in-person Round 2 Jury must be retrieved from The Gallery at Lakeland CC on May 10, 2024 11 am - 8 p.m.


Entries accepted in to The Gallery exhibition will be eligible to be considered for approximately $4000 in juried cash awards.

Instructions

What you will need

  • At least one digital image of each art piece, up to four submissions. These must be good photographs of the actual, original art work you want to enter to potentially exhibit. We recommend 3d artists submit up to three views of each submitted piece.
  • Digital images must be saved in the JPG (JPEG) file format.
  • Your pictures should be no smaller than 960 pixels and no larger than 4600 pixels on the longest side.
  • They should be no bigger than 4 Mb in file size.
  • Please make sure you are settled on titles, medium descriptions and prices. The way you identify yourself and your work in the submission form is what we utilize when we present your information on art labels and in program listings. The Gallery at Lakeland Community College is not responsible for misspellings or incorrect information arising from inaccurate information.

Entering artwork submissions

After logging in or creating a new account, and paying the entry fee, you will Add a new submission. You will fill out the form with Category, Title, Dimensions (height, width, and depth), Sale price (unless Not For Sale, if NFS an insurance value needs to be assigned), and Medium for your first artwork submission. You will then upload an Attachment that is the photo of your artwork. 3d artists may upload 3 different views of each submission. If you would like to enter more than one work of art, please upload each entry separately by clicking Add a new submission after each successful submission. Each artist may submit up to four works.

  • Call to entry
    • CTE opens March 8, 2024
    • CTE deadline, April 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
    • Notification of jury results; Friday, April 26, 2024. Please do not call or email for results.
  • Artwork delivery
    • Round 1 (Online jury) accepted drop off - May 3 and 4, 2024 11 am – 8 pm
    • Round 2 (In-Person Jury) unaccepted pickup - May 10, 2024 11 am - 8 pm
    • End of Exhibit pickup –  July 20 and 21, 2024, 11 am – 8 pm
  • Event dates
    • The Gallery at Lakeland – On Display; May 16, 2024 – July 19, 2024
    • Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony for the 14th May Show will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7 pm. Visit lakelandcc.edu/gallery for more details
